Electrical Technician - Inverness - Up to £30,000
To work as part of an engineering team co-operating with other production and engineering disciplines.
Permanent
£26000 to £30000 per annum
Key Responsibilities include:
Ø Work to a high safety standard.
Ø Responsible for the efficient utilisation of all electrical equipment and plant.
Ø Support / supervise Maintenance Electricians as required.
Ø Respond to out of hours calls on a rota basis.
Ø Modify and improve procedures and programmes as required.
Ø Carry out preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment as required.
Ø Identify and report any signs of equipment failure.
Ø Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date i.e. logbook, programme additions, changes etc.
Ø Installation and commissioning equipment and services as requested.
Ø Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by Electrical Supervisor.
Ø Adopt and maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work area.
Qualifications/Requirements:
ONC or equivalent
Additional Information:
Ø PLC knowledge is required.
Ø Controls experience required.
Ø Industrial maintenance experience is necessary.
Ø Understanding of hydraulics / pneumatics an advantage.
Ø Training and Development will be available to all successful candidates.

Electrical Supervisor - Inverness - Up to £36,000
The primary role of the Electrical Supervisor is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the electrical and instrumentation systems throughout the site.
Permanent
£30000 to £36000 per annum
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All electrical equipment and systems are in accordance with legislation, regulations, and company standards.
• All electricians and electrical contractors are competent and are working safely.
• Planning and scheduling of electrical work, including preventive, predictive and condition based electrical maintenance.
• Provide expert advice and troubleshooting on electrical and instrumentation systems.
Qualification(s) / Training Requirement(s)
Ø An Electrical or Controls Engineering degree and a minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing environment, or
Ø An HNC in Electrical Engineering, completion of an approved apprenticeship in electrical repair and maintenance, five years post apprenticeship experience, with two years of supervisory experience.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
o PLCs: Allen Bradley PLC5 & Control Logix
o SCADA, Rockwell RS View
o Variable Frequency Drives
o AC Servo Systems
o High and low voltage systems
Also Knowledge of:
o 17th Edition IEE Regulations
o Applicable electrical standards and regulations.
o Tools, equipment, materials, and techniques common to electrical systems.
