Engineering & Production Jobs In Argyll & Bute

Our client are a leader in accommodation solutions for the oil and gas industry worldwide, with fabrication sites in Glasgow and Shanghai, as well as a sales office in Singapore, and are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer to assist the Technical Director in new and existing projects. You will support a first class service to customers as well as maintaining exceptional standards of product and delivery.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the main responsibilities of the role are:

• Manage and plan projects of various sizes.
• Compiling and reviewing design inputs and client requirements.
• Drawing component and structural drawings review.
• Document Control to company and client standards.
• Ongoing liaison and reporting to client.
• Support the design, procurement, and manufacture of unit designs.
• Support sales and manage scope of work outlines.
• Liase with engineers and team in Asia region for full project life.
• Undertake customer and vendor visits in support of specific projects or business development as and when required. International travel is expected along with possible offshore visits for site installation when required.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and personal qualities:

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a Construction background.
• Minimum of 5 yrs+ in a previous Project Engineering role.
• HVAC experience would be advantageous.
• Exposure to Oil & Gas, Offshore and Manufacturing environments.
• Strong CAD skills, preferably with AutoCAD
• Computer Literate in MS Office Packages especially Microsoft Project or similar.
• Independent and resourceful.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Creative and analytical.
• Flexible.
• High ethical awareness and integrity.
