Senior Program Manager - Basingstoke - Up to £80,000

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Lead Category A or Category B Program(s) throughout the Program lifecycle to meet cost, schedule and performance requirements. (Alternatively lead a portfolio of Programs). Deliver business case objectives for assigned Program(s). Manage internal and external Program stakeholders and provide timely reports and information as necessary. Manage allocated resources to deliver Program. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve prioritisation and other conflicts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Leading the interface with the internal or external customer for Program specific topics;
Monitoring the emerging business case versus the business case objectives agreed at the Bid/No Bid Meeting (Gate 1b) and propose action to control variances.
Capture the Program Critical Success Factors (CSFs) in the Program Charter and communicate to all Program staff;
Generating necessary Program management plans including any fully linked and resourced Program schedules needed.
Identifying physical and staff resources required to deliver Program objectives;
Defining the required Program organisation (in conjunction with functional management) and communicate to all Program staff;
Establishing the cost budget required to deliver Program objectives (as distinct to any price quoted to a customer);
Leading staff allocated from multiple functions including Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Contracts etc;
Working in conjunction with allocated functional resources to deliver functional objectives, e.g. work with Engineering to deliver a compliant design, work with Commercial to re-negotiate scope extensions.
Managing of any external supply chain required, in conjunction with the Sourcing function;
Leading any commercial and contractual discussions, in conjunction with the Commercial and Contracts functions;
Monitoring and controlling Program resources, in conjunction with relevant functional managers;
Identify, analyze, plan and manage Program risks and manage the Program risk register;
Identify potential PLM gate review chairmen and negotiate their participation with the SBU leadership;
Work with assigned PLM gate review chairmen to deliver a successful gate review;
Work with functional management to ensure successful delivery of any functional reviews that precede PLM gate reviews, e.g. any PDR(s) that precede Gate 3;
Monitor emerging Program deliverables, risks, issues, costs etc and report these in the prescribed format at the (normally monthly) executive Program reviews;
Support the identification and development of business opportunities relating to the allocated Program;
Work with the SBU leadership to define the Program delivery strategy for Program proposals.
Support bid and proposal activity as required;
Ensure compliance with policy, e.g. ITAR compliance.
Monitor specific Program implementation of the Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) process and propose improvements to the PLM process owner;
Perform other duties as required.
RELATIONSHIPS
Report to SBU Head of Programs
Work with functional leadership within the functional matrix organisation to identify and deploy suitable Program resources.
Work with the relevant KCRM to interface with the customer for Program specific topics.
Work with procurement / sourcing functions to manage any external supply chain.

Description
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and deliver projects according to
agreed deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver Projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Reporting project performance to senior management as required by the company.

Design Engineer
Baskingstoke - Up to 12 month contract - Up to £35.00 per hr
Contract
£30 to £35 per hour
The objective of the role will be to design and develop engineering solutions across the whole development lifecycle in accordance with customer requirements and business needs, whilst meeting agreed technical, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
The role may also require a period of time based onsite at customer facility to assist with requirements capture during early development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
· Capture and define customer requirements through a structured approach.
· Construct and implement engineering solutions including detailed design, contribution to technical reviews and performance optimisation.
· Ensure design conforms to all aspects of technical and quality requirements by following robust configuration control, review and change management processes.
· Work with operations team to ensure manufacturability of design.
· Generate, perform and validate material/product tests.
· Establish and mitigate technical risks through the development process.
· Present and communicate technical challenges/solutions to both internal and external customers.
Project Manager - In support of project manager, developing a technical solution within the project timescales.
External Customer - To provide a robust technical solution to the customer specification and present a professional, proactive approach at all times.
Production Engineers - To ensure Design for Manufacture (DFm) and Cost (DFc).
Technical Leader – For guidance on best practices and for peer review.
Design Engineering Team Leader and Engineering Manager – For line management and Technical review.
