Mechanical Design Engineer - Middlesex - Up to £40,000

Our client is the world’s leading designer and supplier of aircraft escape systems, in particular ejection seats. It is a demanding area of aerospace design. They need to strengthen their engineering team at Middlesex by adding a Mechanical Designer.
Candidate must hold a good degree in mechanical engineering, have extensive design experience and ideally served an engineering apprenticeship.
The position requires a creative yet practical design engineer, with a flair for innovative designs using sound engineering principles which may be applied to a wide range of structures, mechanisms and problems.
Logical and lateral thinking is essential, as is a good understanding of engineering science and modern manufacturing techniques.
The applicant must be PC and CAD literate ideally Unigraphics NX6 and able to carry out stress and performance calculation using hand and FEA techniques.
