Electronics Bench / Site Engineers - Stoke on Trent - Up to £30,000
Our client is a company at the forefront of industrial maintenance engineering. Due to sustained growth our client is seeking to add two Electronics Bench / Site Engineers.
Permanent
£25000 to £30000 per annum
The position requires previous experience with equipment such as Servo, Spindle, Inverters and DC drives. Working knowledge of Siemens, Indramat, Fanuc, Control Techniques and Allen Bradley is essential.
Experience with microprocessors, monitors and logic systems would be advantageous.
The candidate would require a sound electrical and electronic background in diagnosis, fault finding, repair and test (in-house & on-site).
The position would suit someone who is used to working on their own initiative, with or without the use of engineering drawings, offering immediate response to our customers needs, often at short notice.
1st Position
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday 08.00hrs 16.30hrs
Remuneration
Salary £25-£30k, fixed rate overtime @ £20 per hour, fixed rate call out allowance @ £85, pension, life assurance and sickness scheme.
2nd Position
Hours of work:
Monday-Friday 22.00hrs 06.00hrs
Remuneration
Salary £28-£30k, fixed rate overtime @ £20 per hour, fixed rate call out allowance @ £85, pension, life assurance and sickness scheme.

Resident Project Engineer - Stafford - Up to £30,000
BACKGROUND / CONTEXT:
Our client are looking to appoint two Project Engineers to manage the implementation of the their hose products into a separate leading automotive companies division’s family of products. The role will act in co-ordination with a team of engineers implementing into several of their divisions simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Manage the successful introduction of the clients hose products into the nominated site.
§ Drive the new product development requirements with the relevant Divisions for implementation.
§ Responsible for co-ordinating all activities at the respective division. Stating from the initial vehicle assessment, through the re-hose to the ongoing production supply into each site.
§ Accountable for the successful delivery of all elements of the project to the agreed cost, quality and time frames.
§ Primary contact for project management team. Interface with team to report, update and resolve issues.
§ Define and agree acceptance criteria with client: project sign off, tolerances & deliverables.
§ Achieve Premier Customer Service.
§ Co-ordinate activities as part of a multi disciplined and multi site team to ensure all project deliverables are met within agreed quality, cost and delivery parameters.
§ Provide strategic direction to project team.
§ Completion and management of project documentation: e.g. project initiation documentation, project plan, project schedule, risk identification and evaluation, issue logs and resolution, quality plan, agreed tolerances, prerequisites, external dependencies, planning assumptions, communication plan, change control, etc.
§ Defining and managing project KPIs and milestones as part of the wider implementation team.
§ Responsible for all project related activities such as; Contingency planning; Identify critical path activity; Maintaining Project Control processes / procedures within pressurised environments; Managing Risk and Issue registers; Change control; Risk log.
§ Responsible for all the BOMs and project documentation accuracy.
§ Present project data at progress meetings and internal reviews.
§ Ensure all internal parties are kept informed and efforts are co-ordinated for maximum effect.
§ Drive regular meetings.
§ Develop close working relationship with relevant divisions.
§ Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Health & Safety legislation.
§ Undertake additional duties and special projects as required.
QUALIFICATION / SKILLS:
§ Working knowledge of project management methodologies: e.g. PRINCE2, Degree in Project Management; or equivalent experience of working in a Project Management environment.
§ Proven track record of working with clients at a senior level.
§ Past experience of managing complex projects at multiple sites within demanding timeframes.
§ Commercial acumen.
§ Strong financial awareness and cost control.
§ Good engineering background preferably apprentice trained and educated to HNC level.
§ Knowledge of hydraulic circuitry with the ability to read schematic circuit and engineering drawings.
§ Capable of working on his/her own initiative, setting and maintaining a high standard of professionalism and integrity, with good communication skills across all levels.
§ Good organisational skills and attention to detail are a prerequisite.
§ Practical and hands on approach to understanding customer needs and problem solving.
§ To have a good broad understanding of the Fluid Power market, applications, customers and distributors.
§ Demonstrate the ability that commercial decisions reflect the strategic plan of the Sales Company.
§ Excellent PC skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Lotus Notes.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
§ Self motivated, enthusiastic, disciplined, self starter.
§ Have an open and constructive approach to all issues.
§ Be sensitive and adaptable to the differing cultures within the Group/Corporation.
