Software Engineer - Kent - Up to £35,000
Key Experience: Experience working as a software engineer for a defence company.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The design and documentation of Application Software required for the operation of our clients target systems. Analysis of telemetry data as well.
Permanent
£30000 to £35000 per annum
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, programming and maintenance of PC based aerial target simulators.
Programming and maintenance of PC based software to control targets.
Design, programming and maintenance of PC based applications for post flight analysis.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Visual C++ and Visual basic.
Understanding of comms (RS232 and RS245 etc) using the serial port and TCP/IP an advantage.
Knowledge of mapping systems also useful.
Knowledge of Computer Systems, Embedded Systems, Testing and Quality Control
Visual Studio versions 6, 2003, 2005, 2008 and .Net
C++ is coded using Win32, though MFC knowledge would be beneficial.
Any OpenGL experience would be good and maybe even some DirectX.
Hours of work 39 per week
08.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday
08.30am - 4pm on Friday
1/2hr for lunch each day
