HR Manager - 9 month Contract - £35,000 - Flimby
Purpose of Role
To cover maternity leave. To provide operational and strategic generalist HR support to the business with a strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
Contract
£30000 to £35000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
• Provide coaching and support to Line Managers to optimise performance of their teams.
• Work with managers on disciplinary, grievance and absence issues.
• Offer coaching and counselling to all associates.
• Conduct associate surveys to gain feedback on satisfaction levels and develop prioritised action plans to address key issues.
Resourcing
• Identify effective resourcing strategies to attract and select the best candidates from the market.
• Manage end to end recruitment process from initial discussion with Line Mangers through to selection.
• Work closely with Line Managers to determine job specification, key requirements, competencies.
• Develop and utilise appropriate assessment methods as part of the recruitment process.
• Manage third party recruitment providers to ensure best quality of service and value for money.
• Carry out exit interviews with leavers to identify areas for future concern and improvement.
• Ensure all new starters are effectively inducted to the business.
Training & Development
• Carry out training needs analysis and prioritise requirements in line with annual budget constraints.
• Organise training through third parties ensuring maximum quality and value.
• Deliver internal training programmes as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of all training undertaken and ensure reviews take place for any training undertaken.
Performance Management
• Provide coaching and training to Line Managers on how to conduct effective performance reviews.
• Manage formal appraisal process for own areas.
• Address any issues arising from reviews.
Communication
• Working closely with senior leadership team deliver timely and relevant communications to the business.
Corporate Social Responsibility
• Deliver a CSR plan which engages our associates and contributes to the communities in which we operate.
Compensation and Benefits
• Pay review and bonus management.
• Carry out annual review of benefits to consider new options which meet the needs of the business and associates.
• Oversee UK outsourced payroll.
Policy Development
• Develop, implement and monitor performance against UK policies in line with current legislation and business requirements.
Health & Safety
• Overall responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment and meeting any legislative requirements.
Management Information
• Ensure appropriate Management Information is available when required.
