JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: Employment Field Consultant
Main purpose of job: To liaise with clients and create the personnel documentation and deliver client group training.
Responsible to: Area Manager.
Main tasks of job:
Meet with clients and create the personnel documentation or to critique the clients own documentation to meet their needs, in accordance with our clients policies and procedures.
Liaise with office based employment consultancy staff, diary bookers, and your area manager as appropriate in order to provide a professional consultancy service specific to the client requirements.
Liaise with clients and deal with queries as appropriate.
Manage your workload and the creation of client documentation in accordance with the clients policies and procedures.
Deliver client group training in accordance with the service level agreements.
Ensure deadlines and any targets are met.
Attend team meetings, as required.
To record work utilising the systems in place.

Main Purpose of Job:
The role is a professional discipline and requires high levels of professional standards. The consultant will respond to queries and provide legally compliant advice to clients by telephone and email on all aspects of HRM and employment law. The role requires the post holder to provide advice which supports the business needs of the individual clients where possible, without compromising the fairness of the case management or the indemnity (if the client has indemnity within their contract).
Main Duties
1. Ensure that personal knowledge of employment law and HR best practice is continually updated.
2. To maintain a professional approach at all times and inputting all data.
3. To take ownership & responsibility for on-going cases and ensure relevant information is entered into the database.
4. To provide clients with supporting information/documentation to assist them in implementing advice given.
5. Ensure that all advice is recorded accurately against the appropriate cases and all other client and call information correctly captured onto the database.
6. Review client documentation as required.
7. To refer to departmental legal briefings and training ensuring advice complies with Advice Service standards.
8. To ensure departmental protocols are adhered to ensuring a high quality of case management.
9. Meet minimum target number of advice calls as determined by the Advice Service Managers.
10. Ensure that all requests for advice are dealt with within the relevant service level agreement (SLA).
11. To undertake and report on client visits as required by the Advice Service Managers.
12. Attend and complete training as specified by the Advice Service Managers.
13. To pass on all potential new business through the Referrals procedure.
14. Escalate any unresolved service complaints to the Advice Line Management.
15. Maintain communication with team members and in particular Case Handlers in relation to the transition of cases.
16. To ensure effective communication with and utilisation of assistants.
17. Carry out any other tasks deemed necessary by the Management Team.
