They are looking for a strong, adaptable candidate with buying experience to join the business on an initial 3 month/temporary contract to start asap.
Essential that you have SAP experience and at least a year gained within a purchasing role/environment.
The role will be paying £9 per Hour.

£20000 to £25000 per annum
Initially for a period of three months with a view to beyond.
Purpose
To take accountability and responsibility for the purchasing, stock management and supplier management of subcontracting components for factory automation, to support the achievement of business objectives and the provision of superior service in a high quality, timely, cost-effective and resource-efficient way ensuring adherence to company directives.
Main Objectives and Tasks
1. To build and maintain a good working knowledge of buying principles and contractual regulations, stock management practices, company products and services, customers, working practices, and the computer software to perform the role efficiently and effectively.
2. To contribute to the overall department objectives and plan by:
§ Sharing information with others to enable them to fulfil their role.
§ Using knowledge, information and skills in planning and working for the department.
§ Sharing ideas and suggestions for improvements.
3. To provide a comprehensive, proactive, effective purchasing and stock management service of subcontracting components for the business unit by:
- Managing procurement of subcontracting components for factory automation.
- Participating in job/project planning meetings identifying measures to reduce costs and/or delivery timescales prior to technical release and/or specification.
- Managing stock level decisions, obsolete components (dead stock) and their disposal, to ensure optimum levels are consistently meet agreed targets.
- Managing subcontracting components and the process from procurement to shipment to the supplier, to receipt of final invoice.
- Liaising with the warehouse with regard to management of shipment of stock.
- Carry out physical inventory counts at the suppliers to ensure data is correct at all times.
- Progressing of orders and/or deliveries and advising supplier or sales of delays, problems and alternatives when required.
- Answering internal customer enquiries about orders and referring questions as appropriate.
- Resolving pricing and quantity invoices queries allowing invoices to be cleared efficiently for payment.
- Resolve Purchase GR/IR issues
- Developing and maintaining framework agreements where appropriate.
- Ensuring thorough understanding of all relevant directives and their applicability (especially quality related directives).
- Ensuring easy, complete access of relevant data by organising and maintaining files (e.g. supplier information, lead times, product master data, price details, obsolete stock)
- Producing and developing business information reports to support department controls and performance improvements when required.
- Using and updating appropriate management tools (eg SRM) and KPIs as required.
- To develop and work with CIP methodology in all applicable aspects of job role.
- Ensuring confidentiality agreements are obtained from suppliers where appropriate.
- Monitoring and sharing own progress, taking corrective action as required.
- Communicating regularly with other members of the business ensuring rapid two-way flow of information and contribution to effective team working.
