My client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join the Bid Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of the Companys sales and profit targets through the compilation of offers and Tenders.

£35000 to £40000 per annum
Specific duties will include the following:
Managing the complete Tender process from Enquiry to Tender Submission.
Acting as single point contact for all internal and external communication.
Determining bid tactics and pricing of offers.
Collating technical, operational and commercial information and preparation of Tender Submission.
Evaluating options to provide optimised project solutions.
Undertaking post tender discussions and contract negotiation.
Tracking major projects in the UK marketplace and developing new business opportunities.
Qualifications / Experience
Candidates will preferably be educated to degree level and a good level of experience in a commercial or technical sales role with responsibility for achieving targets and objectives.
A high degree of numerical accuracy and computer literacy is required in this position and the ability to promote a professional and competent image to the customer will be essential. Expertise in installation and cable technology, contract terms and conditions together with industry practices would be an advantage.

Our client is an electro-mechanical component manufacturer for aerospace industry. They are seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to be responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain function to achieve agreed Company objectives, work closely with and actively contribute to the overall success of the senior manufacturing management team. You will also create and negotiate LTAs with identified suppliers to support the business needs.

Key duties:
Provide inspirational leadership with clear focus and direction to the Supply Chain Department to ensure contribution to the achievement of agreed Company objectives is maximised
To take full ownership and maximise the contribution of all resources (people and equipment allocated to the Department
To implement robust corrective action plans that identify the root cause of a problem then fix and eliminate recurrence
To represent Supply Chain at design review meetings to influence decisions taken in respect of materials
To encourage the continuous development of all members of the Department and ensure that PDRs are carried out in a timely manner
To ensure the Department is focussed on 100% on-time delivery of materials and 95% availability of material in feed to the shop floor.
To ensure that best practice materials management processes such as direct line feed and Kanban are developed and maintained.
To lead appropriate supplier development programmes.
To construct and negotiate Long Term Agreements with (with the support of the commercial department) the appropriate suppliers to the business to ensure effective long term pricing and trading conditions
Experience
Experience of running a purchasing function with expenditure in excess of £15 million per annum
Experience of running a materials function within a supply chain.
Experience of supply chain development
Experience of providing material cost estimates
Thorough comprehension of MRP I & MRPII systems environments and how to optimise the systems to suit differing business models
Qualified to Degree Level in business studies or a suitable engineering discipline plus 5 years experience in a managerial role in a supply chain environment
OR
Ten years practical supply chain experience gained in a progressive, modern environment, with five years experience at managerial level.
