My client is looking for SAP experience, Aerospace experience and ideally be CIPS qualified, or part qualified candidates.
Purpose
Responsible for the development of strategic relationships with key suppliers and ensuring current and future performance meets expectations.
Will work closely with both strategic & operational teams to identify, develop and deliver effective commodity strategies which will support the future needs of the business.
Will develop method for effective ongoing performance measurement and communication process with key suppliers and support operational teams with resolution of performance issues.
Principle Accountabilities
You are part of a highly skilled integrated Supply Chain team, working together to achieve target Cost, Quality & Delivery performance.
As a Strategic Buyer you are responsible for the overall management of your selected suppliers.
You will demonstrate clear leadership qualities in the building of long term cradle to grave relationships with your suppliers.
Your will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective communications with key suppliers.
Responsible for the development and deployment for effective commodity strategies taking account of long term strategic business objectives.
Responsible for alignment and management of the companys supplier key measures of performance.
Development of risk analysis and risk mitigation tools which include long term stability of key suppliers.
Develop Long Term Supplier Agreements/Price Agreements which support year on year QCD improvements.
Work with internal & external stakeholders to develop more effective Supply Chain Management processes.
Understand and take advantage of new technologies in Manufacturing and Product and work closely with Engineering/Sales of development of NPI processes.
Actively promote supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives which support ongoing supply chain performance improvement.
Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels internally and externally.
Computer literacy including competence in Microsoft Excel, Word & SAP.
Minimum of 3 years experience within an appropriate Purchasing/ Supply Chain position.
Experience within Aerospace (or possibly another High Technology industry).
Skilled negotiator with ability to formulate supply contracts which support business requirements.
Focused, committed with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Capable of driving issues through to completion.

To ensure that the planning of manufactured material, maximises availability of material and minimises stock cost. To ensure that all work offloaded to contractors is planned and controlled to maximise on time delivery and minimise cost.

Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the creation of manufacturing production schedules in line with preordained procedures and guidelines and ensuring that manufacturing production schedules are achievable in terms of material availability and capacity. Has the ability and experience to be a Business Process Owner for SAP Planning.
Main Duties
Maintain SAP planning parameters I.e. batch Qtys, Re-order Qtys etc...
Monitor and maintain stocking policies.
Place purchase orders for all module discrete raw materials/components in line with MRP recommendations and expedite as necessary to ensure delivery.
To report any potential material problems to Logistics and the buyers.
Monitor and maintain perpetual inventory activity for module raw materials, WIP and finished stock in order to ensure 100% stock accuracy.
Ensure that all module raw material, WIP and Finished stock is stored in good conditions and correctly located.
Ensure that Work to lists are accurate and audited and that works orders/job card is accurate.
Provide data required for the S&OP process.
Provide input and reporting for the New Product Introduction process.
Provide information to customer services on product lead-times and WIP.
Liaise and monitor daily progress with team leaders and with supply functions to ensure material availability and expedite shortages.
Provide KPIs as required to monitor the above process.
Provide cover for absent team members.
Relationships
This role requires interaction with all departments but specifically the manufacturing modules and where applicable the relevant managers. It may also involve liaising with the customer base to support both internal and external site visits.
