Buyer - Tooling Fixtures and Fitting
Salary circa £34k

My clients business design, develop and manufacture performance powertrain units. They strive to continually develop and improve within the technical regulations.
Permanent
£30000 to £34000 per annum
In this role you will;
Manage supply chain and supplier performance.
Define the commodities sourcing strategies.
Develop key suppliers to improve suppliers performance.
Develop, monitor and maintain the procurement processes.
We expect our purchasing staff to demonstrate the following qualities;
Be enthusiastic and self motivated.
Have a proactive, logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
Work flexibly to fixed timescales in order to achieve the overall targets of the team.
Have experience in operating in a development or prototyping environment.
Have a technical understanding or have experience in buying technical components.
Specifically they are looking for someone with the following;
Contracts knowledge
Experience working in a Mechanical engineering environment
CAPEX
SAP knowledge
CIPS Qualified
Experience reading and understanding technical drawings- preferred but not essential
