Summary
• Provide primary resource and point of contact for management of in-coming material to Company to supplement activity undertaken by Account Managers.
• Provide primary Point of Contact for build shortage reviews and provide current material forecast information back to the group from either the relevant Account manager or direct from the supplier.
• Provide regular guidance to local machining suppliers on priority tasks and support capacity management (Require regular dialogue/visits).
• Act as principle point of contact for co-ordinating shortage information for specific project or programme activities as required.
Role activities
• Primary shortage information: Retrieve urgent shortages required to support 2/3 month in advance on seat build programme.
• Communicate requirements to the local machinists and provide planning, technical and capacity guidance to them. This would be in the form of regular communication centred around regular visits to allow direct supervision/assistance of planning and trouble shooting.
• Provide shortage requirements to account managers for provision of up to date information to report at the next review.
• Advise relevant Account Managers of items that have been in place for more than 1 week.
• For local machinist suppliers, directly action reject activity.

Reporting to Purchasing Manager, with main working relationships with Commodity Managers, Production Supervisors, Stores, NPI, Suppliers, Goods Receiving.

Job Summary
Using MRP, pro-actively plan and implement materials flow onto the shop floor ensuring 100% materials availability at minimum required stock levels.
Responsible for;
• Planning monthly production in line with customer needs.
• Works Orders and Purchase Orders required for delivery of Production Plan.
• Ensuring delivery of parts as per PO’s from Vendors through proactive expediting.
• Ensuring adherence to and delivery of WO’s by Production through daily monitoring of progress and communication with Production Supervisors.
• Supporting the customer service team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Responding to Customer needs (Schedules), through the customer services team.
• Providing help and support to the team working with them.
• Working together with Commodity Managers in managing relationships with vendors.
• Providing help and support to Commodity Managers on Vendor base improvement and cost reduction projects.

Experience & Skills
• CIPS Qualified (or currently studying)
• Experience buying electronics including PCBA’s
• ERP literate
