Our client is a leading gloval business specialising in facilities management - due to growth they are now looking for an experienced Procurement professional to join the team.

Purpose of the role:
To advise the business on all strategic procurement matters and act as the source of the company’s procurement expertise. To be accountable for the full spectrum of procurement from strategy development and commercial objectives, through sourcing, to supplier relationship management and quality of suppliers. To review and update the company’s corporate procurement strategy and to ensure successful delivery of that strategy. To steer and monitor the delivery of the company’s procurement activity and to ensure that procurements are undertaken in accordance with the stated aims and objectives of the organisation. To achieve required spend and cost saving targets you will need to develop strong relationships with suppliers and work closely with internal colleagues. To ensure that the highest professional standards of procurement practice are implemented and maintained to deliver the benefits of best procurement practice.
Main Duties and Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities:
1. Prepare, implement and review the Corporate Procurement Strategy and associated policies.
2. Maintain a detailed awareness of current and emerging procurement best practices and ensure all associated policies of the organisation are reviewed accordingly. Be aware of all new developments and initiatives concerning procurement including new legislation and government guidelines and ensure that the Senior Management Team and all key stakeholders are appropriately briefed on these.
3. Liaise effectively with all budget holders in order to maintain an awareness of all current and longer term procurement projects within the business.
4. Provide professional procurement advice to all budget holders in respect of all stages of key procurement exercises. In particular, the development and agreement of business cases, the identification of stakeholder requirements, market analysis, risk management, change control procedures, contract management and post contract review.
5. Liaise with budget holders to deliver cost reductions, quality improvements and supply outcomes.
6. To research and make use of any new procurement efficiency tools including technology, shared solutions and other collaborative mechanisms.
7. Proactively develop markets by networking and developing the key providers to the organisation. Identify, explore and evaluate opportunities for procurement collaboration.
Ensure that performance data is maintained and updated in relation to the company’s key suppliers, contractors and service providers and that such data is reviewed and analysed regularly.
Develop, maintain, monitor and review performance indicators relating to the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s procurement function and, wherever necessary recommend and implement corrective action on a timely basis.
Lead initiatives on behalf of the organisation in respect of sustainable procurement
Education / Qualifications
Advantageous - Degree and/or CIPS
Experience
• 5 years experience in a senior purchasing role within the FM industry.
• Proven track record of negotiating multiple contracts and delivering on time and under budget.
• Experience in management of both strategic and operational activities.
• Experience of people management.

THE JOB – Supply Chain Manager (CCTV)
The company wishes to appoint a Supply Chain Manager who will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager of the Monitoring Systems Division and will take full responsibility for managing upstream and downstream value added flow of materials, final goods and related information among suppliers, customers, resellers, final consumers.
SKILL SET
Hazardous area monitoring systems are safety critical high value products made in small volumes to exacting international regulated standards. There exists a large number of low value but critical components to manufacture a complete set and most suppliers / customers are overseas.
- A thorough knowledge of purchasing methodology, rules and regulations.
- A deep understanding of inventory control and automated stock replenishment systems.
- A working knowledge of export despatch and the documentation required.
- An understanding of supply chain issues e.g. bills of materials, lead times.
- An appreciation of the need for total quality control.
The priorities for performance are zero manufacturing delays and customer service, as measured by meeting agreed delivery times.
