Primary function
• Working with Programme management to ensure the successful implementation of new transit seats both Turkey and UK plants. To be a key member of the implementation team.
• Undertake the APQP, (P)FMEA and Control Plan implementation.
• Attend the New Programme meetings and manage all programme quality activities.
• Manage the Transactions between Dunton, Turkey and Southampton to ensure common understanding and communication.
• Manage Engineering activities with the team from any base, Luton, Southampton, Dunton, Turkey.
• Establish and maintain a Launch room on 3 sites, Luton Southampton and Turkey.
• Monitoring and reporting on matters of Quality to the Management team.
• Stand-in, in the absence of the Quality Manager.
• Identifying/setting Quality standards and key performance indicators within the division based on company and customer expectations.
• Management of the QA operations of the plant in close consultation and cooperation with the Group QA Manager and General Manager and Programme Managers.
Secondary Function
• Ensure data is updated and the visual factory is implemented:
• Site data and scorecard is upto date
• Compliant to TS16949 Control and Maintenance.
• Ensure that all documentation conforms to industry/customer quality standards and supports customer new product needs.
• Set and communicate specific supplier quality targets and significant characteristics.
• Report all identified components rejects, initiate and review supplier corrective actions, where necessary.
• Ensure timely supplier containment to support our clients provision, where necessary.
• Fully support engineering change management of supplied components/material.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement process – supplier quality, cost, innovation, delivery and management.
• Ensure that requirements of Environmental, Health and Safety Policy are communicated to, understood and adhered to by all Quality personnel.
Other features of job:
37.5 hours/week - Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 14:00.
Some out of hours work will be required.
Travel to the clients Luton, Southampton, Turkey and other sites will be required and essential to perform this role.
