Job summary
Be point of contact for day-to-day HR activity. Support the HR Manager to drive consistency and best HR practice throughout the business. Assist in the effective management and development of employees.
Key Responsibilities
Primary
" Work closely with department functions, assisting departmental managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
" Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
" Interpret and advise on employment legislation
" Assist in the development of a performance driven culture;
" Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
" Monitor and develop policies and procedures in accordance with employment law and best practice;
" Advise on disciplinary and grievances matters;
" Assist in the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff; working directly with functional Managers to develop job descriptions, person specifications, liaise with recruitment agencies, interview and selection of candidates;
" Analysis training/development needs in conjunction with departmental managers. Develop and conduct training or source suitable providers.
" Liaise with payroll to inform them of relevant changes in a timely manner
" Liaise with the Company pension and benefits providers on all relevant matters
" Undertaking projects/research as and when required
Secondary
" Administer and maintain personnel records, payroll, benefits, time & attendance system and reporting requirements in conjunction with HR Administrator;
" Produce offer letters, key person agreements, contracts, new starter packs, conduct induction programme;
" Provide support for other organisations and group HR function
Any other reasonable duties as directed by the HR Manager

HOURS: 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday
SALARY: £22,000 - £30,000 (Depending on experience)

JOB PURPOSE
To provide accurate telephone advice to clients on all aspects of personnel and employment law. To tailor the advice to suit the business needs of the individual client.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ensure that personal knowledge of employment law and personnel best practice is continually updated.
2. Maintain a professional approach at all times.
3. To pass on all potential new business through the Referrals procedure.
4. Ensure that all advice log sheets are filled in accurately and all other client and call information correctly documented.
5. To carry out and report on client visits as required by the Advice Service Manager.
6. Provide clients with supporting documentation, as directed by the Advice Service Manager, to assist them in implementing advice given.
7. Attend and complete training as specified by the Advice Service Manager.
8. Report any complaints to the Advice Service Manager.
9. Carry out any other tasks deemed necessary by the Advice Service Manager
